Tenon.io is looking for Accessibility Consultants with strong front-end development skills. Suitable candidates will have working knowledge of WCAG 2.0 and WAI-ARIA. They must be motivated and willing to learn new technologies and techniques. They must be able to collaborate with team members, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Job Requirements
- Interest in Accessibility and Usability
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of JAWS, Voice Over, Zoom Text, TalkBack, and Dragon Naturally Speaking
- Knowledge of WAI-ARIA
- JavaScript Development Skills would be a plus
What you will be doing
You will work in a team environment to collaborate with other Tenon team members and customers in finding the best solutions to meet our clients’ needs:
- Accessibility testing using Tenon’s robust methodology, focusing on accuracy and completeness
- Developing and delivering accessibility training
- Design and development
- Consulting on policy and strategy for our customers
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree desired but not required; may be substituted for 5 years of Accessibility experience. Effective working knowledge of accessibility verification tools, assistive technologies, web & mobile technologies, and accessibility standards. Must be a team oriented person, willing to discuss and work in partnership with colleagues. This position offers generous compensation and flexible remote working conditions.
